Haylee Kay Harward, age 25, of Vernal, Utah, returned home to Heaven on July 7, 2024. Haylee was born in Vernal on May 20, 1999, at the Ashley Regional Hospital, to Andrew Harward and Alice Booth. Haylee spent her childhood growing up in Vernal, loving to play with her dolls, hosting tea parties for her sisters, riding horses, and loving to do family outings and activities. Haylee graduated from Uintah High School in 2017, and then worked at the Galleries in Vernal, where she loved to decorate and design. Haylee served a full-time Spanish speaking mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Tempe, Arizona Mission, which brought her great joy. Her mission companions shared with us: "She was such a beautiful bright light." "She brought so much joy into every life she touched." "She was able to reach people in a special way that no one else could." "She was sweet to everyone and was always the first person to reach out when someone was in need." Haylee was very patriotic and loved her country. She was a cowgirl, through and through, riding horses, singing country songs at the top of her voice, and loved to go riding horses with her grandma Kay. She competed in barrel racing and loved to go trail riding. She loved her five sisters dearly and placed her love of family above all things. Her main goal in life was to be a mother. She was ready to go shopping, or go out for sodas at any time. Haylee loved adventures and traveled to the Philippines, Hawaii, England, France, Guatemala, Mexico and many places in the United States. She swam with sharks, snowboarded and went skydiving. Haylee had a passion for photography and design. Haylee loved writing and was passionate and expressive. Her smile and laugh were contagious. Haylee worked as a waitress at Olive Garden in Logan, Utah while studying Elementary Education at Utah State University. She was full of joy and loved her job as a server in the food industry. While working as a server at Swain Brothers, she met and was later engaged to Jonathan Swain, and they were planning to be married in September 2024. Haylee is survived by her fiancé Jonathan Swain and his three children: Jett, Ivy, and Jax; her mother Alice Bergfeld Booth, father Andrew (Carolina) Harward; her five sisters Ashley Johnson (Vic) Reyes and their two children Roman and Brooklyn; Rakelle (Schuyler) Worthen and their daughter Adalyn; Liahona Harward, Noelani Harward, Kenady Booth, and Brooke Erin Moore, brothers Cory Booth, Drew Booth, and Hunter Booth; her grandparents Gary and Rachel Gierhart; and her grandmother Kay Bergfeld. Haylee is preceded in death by her grandfather Mike Bergfeld and stepfather Kevin Booth. Haylee was dearly loved by so many and will be missed and remembered for her laugh, smile, and engaging joy and personality.
