Jack Gaylord ElderDecember 13, 1934 ~ December 28, 2017Jack Gaylord Elder passed away at his home in Rangely, Colorado on December 28, 2017 at the age of 83. Jack was born December 13, 1934 in Grover, Colorado to Walace Elder and Bessie Marie Gaylord. Jack married Jeaan Elder on October 20, 1960 in Cortez, Colorado. They have been married for 57 Years.Jack was a charter member of Bible Baptist, CO. He preached at Bible Baptist Church for 7 years. He taught the Adult S.S. Class there also. He was active in the Awana Club for children. He drove the S.S. bus and Awana bus for many years. Jack now attends New Creation Church of RangelyHe taught school for 30 years. He coached baseball, football and basketball. Jack loved to travel and also to hunt elk and deer.Jack is survived by his Wife Jean Elder, sons Marty (Amy) Elder and Monty (Rebecca) Elder; three grandchildre: Amanda, Michael (Nicole) and Rachel and 3 greatgrandchildren: Espen, Easten and Kenadie.Jack is preceeded in death by his grandson Martin Elder.Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 11AM at the Rangely Christian Church (501 Darius Avenue).Online condolences may be shared at www.AshleyValleyFuneralHome.com
