Jack Gardner

Jack Gardner age 89 of Vernal, husband of Arlene Gardner, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Jack was born April 14, 1936, in Roosevelt to Elmer Gardner and Hazel Gardner.

He married the love of his life April 16, 1957, in Vernal, they were married 68 years. They had 4 children: Cindy (David) Marshall, Deborah Gardner (deceased), Danny Gardner, all of Vernal, Linda (John) Hight of Las Vegas, Nevada.

They have 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Jack was in the Airforce Security Service in the Korean Conflict. He served 4 years active reserve. He had several jobs over the years, he was a semi-truck driver, worked on the Rids, construction, heavy equipment, carpet cleaning business, built and remodeled homes. He ran wimpy's for 12 years, he enjoyed it, then he retired.

We would like to thank Jenny at Canyon Home Health & Hospice for the good care of dad, he always said he loved you and you're the best nurse. We appreciate everything you did for dad Thank You.

Jack is survived by his wife Arlene Gardner; his children: Cindy (David) Marshall, Danny Gardner all of Vernal, Linda (John) Hight of Las Vegas, Nevada, brother Don Gardner, Sisters Beth Pfiefer, Lana Jean Boren.

Jack was proceeded in death by his daughter Deborah Gardner, his parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, a grandson, a great great grandson and a great great granddaughter.

He will be missed. Rest easy dad you deserve it your free from the pain till we see you again, we love you.

Funeral services for Jack will held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 12:00pm, with a visitation and viewing that morning from 10:45am ~ 11:45am all at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment in the Rockpoint Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 11 and the Patriot Guard Riders of Utah.
