Jacob Shepherd

Jacob Jeffrey Shepherd, age 31, beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson and friend to many was suddenly and tragically taken from us on November 18, 2015, in Cave Junction, Oregon in an automobile accident. Jake loved anything to do with football and basketball, especially the Lakers and his "man" Kobe Bryant, which is why his flowers will be yellow and purple and he will be wearing his Kobe Bryant jersey! He had a personality larger than life and an impeccable fashion that would make any mom cringe (LOL) and his never endless love for the Jordan's shoes which he had dozens of. But thats what made Jake special. He loved his family and especially his friends.

After overcoming his struggles he decided to make a new start by moving to Oregon, which he quickly fell in love with the Red Wood Forrest, Northern California's coast and ocean and found the love of his life Sarah Houston. He once told me that he wanted to make it his home cause it was the next best thing to Heaven.

Jake is survived by his father Jeff Shepherd; mother Christine Lupcho Shiner; stepfather Curt Shiner; grandparents Oren Shepherd and Judy Lupcho; step-grandparents Brent and Renee Shiner; brothers Joshua Shepherd and Trey Shepherd; step brother Dace Shiner; step sisters Rikki Shiner Weddle and Kendra Louka; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Jack Lupcho; grandmother Joyce Cross; step brother Jake Shiner and cousin Joshua Shepherd.

He will forever leave an emptiness and sadness in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015, at 11:00AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cave Junction. A private gathering will be held after the memorial service for family and friends.
