James Hughes

James H. Hughes, age 66, died December 6, 2012, with his family by his side in Vernal, Utah.

James was born June 15, 1946, in Oneida, Kentucky, to Howard Jackson and Bonnie Lee Hughes.

He served in the United States Army from June 24, 1963 to July 31, 1984. James is also a Vietnam Veteran, serving as a Supply Sergeant from 1970 to 1971.

After active service, James continued to work for the Government Services as a Logistics Specialist until his well deserved retirement to Nashville, Tennessee in October 2011.

James' greatest hobby was to go fishing, both in Europe and in the United States. He enjoyed his family, and while living in Nashville, attending a good game of poker with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Magdalene (Liz), his daughter Barbara Witt of Vernal, and son Thomas living in Germany.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, the 15th of December 2012, at the Rock Point cemetery in Vernal.
