Janetta J Gardiner was born on October 17, 1932 in Sugar City Idaho to Jesse Lewis Johnson and Emma Isabella Nestor.
She married William Deverl Hunsaker September 1949. Together they had four children, Michael D. Hunsaker (Colleen), Patrick J. Hunsaker, Desiree' Lin Stokes Jeffery), William N. (Billy) Hunsaker. Together they traveled the rodeo circuit where he rode bulls and she barrel raced, and rode in several riding clubs. She was also the first rodeo queen of the Red Rock Rodeo in Huntsville, Utah where they spent a lot of time and also in Liberty, Utah.
They later divorced, and she then married Udell "Fat" Gardiner on 8/2/1968 and were together for 37 years and lived in Vernal, Utah where she retired from the U.S. Forest Service and loved spending time on Diamond Mountain with the cows and at the racetracks were her and her husband spent many years horse racing. They also enjoyed golfing and going to Blyth, California in the winters. Her husband Udell passed away in December 2005 while in Blythe.
In 2006 she relocated to Farr West, Utah to be by her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. She made many friends and golfed a lot of her time while living in Farr West. She spent her winters in Mesquite, Nevada with her partner and friend Eldy Kuntz until she became ill and moved back to Farr West.
She then relocated with her daughter to Vernal, Utah in June 2021 where she spent the remainder of her life from January 2022 at Landmark Assisted Living. There she made many friends until her passing on December 28, 2022 at the age of 90 years old.
She is survived by her three children Michael, Patrick and Desiree', 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; husband; Udell "Fat" Gardiner; sister's Tressie Johnson, Eathea Southwick, Jessie Reynolds; son William (Billy) Hunsaker, grandchildren; Jerimiah Brent (JB) Hunsaker, and Janetta LaDee (JL) Hunsaker Collinsworth.
She was a very outgoing, spicy and classy woman who was always dressed perfectly with her high heels or on the golf course or be it at the racetrack.
