Janice Kay McKeachnie passed away in Boise Idaho on March 31, 2025 at the age of 83. Jancie was born May 12, 1941 in Manila Utah to Dorthy (Hanks) Mann and Harry Claude Mann. She was raised on their family ranch in McKinnon Wyoming where her love for animals was born. Janice married Bill McKeachnie on Nov 19, 1956 in Ely Nevada. They lived in Big Piney Wyoming for several years before returning to Vernal to raise their family. Janice worked at Utahn Saddle Co and built many saddles that are still around today. Following the passing of her husband in 1979 Janice worked for Dowell Schlumberger until retiring and moving to Boise Idaho in 1996. Janice was an artist, whether it was painting, sketching or tooling leather. She loved the outdoors, hunting artifacts, gardening and caring for animals. She was the happiest when around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Karen Wallen, John (Delsi) McKeachnie, Mike (Debbie) McKeachnie and Shelly McLain. Her 11 Grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Dorthy and Harry Mann, Husband Bill McKeachnie and Sister Myria White. A private family graveside service for Janice will be held in Vernal Memorial Park where she will be interred next to her beloved husband Bill. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
