Jason Eugene Rush

March 18, 1974 — February 12, 2025

Kingsman AZ/Vernal

Jason Eugene Rush, 50, of Kingman, Arizona, left us on February 12, 2025, at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City following yet another Aortic Dissection surgery, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 18, 1974, in Vernal, Utah, Jason lived a life full of adventure and excitement. He had an undeniable love for dirt bikes, fast boats, and warm sun rays all while listening to music. Jason graduated from Vacaville High School in Vacaville, California, in 1993 and spent his life chasing adventure, laughter, and the next big thrill. He met his greatest adventure Malinda Gallagher in Salt Lake City and they married June 6, 2015 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Together, they built a life filled with love and a shared appreciation for all things adventurous (with Malinda always reminding him that speed limits and curbs exist for a reason). Whether they were sleeping on a blow-up mattress in the lake tied off to the boat or attending a Rock-a-Billy event dressed in suitable style, Jason and Malinda lived their life to the fullest. Jason is survived by his devoted wife, Malinda Rush, his cherished dog, Poto (tribute to Ryan Villopoto); his two beloved children, Jackson and Olivia Rush; his parents, Larry and Mary Lou Rush of Vernal, Utah; and his brother, Fred Rush (Beth) of Atlanta, Georgia. He also leaves behind his nephews, Cameron, Avery, Aiden, and Atkin, his niece, Audrey, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who love him. Visitation will be held at 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with a Memorial Service on Saturday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m. at Ashley Valley Funeral Home in Vernal, Utah. A reception will follow at the Vernal Elks Lodge #2375. Jason never believed in taking life too seriously and would want us all to remember him with a laugh, a toast, and maybe a little burnout in his honor. His spirit will forever live on in every roaring engine, every ocean wave, and every sunset across the open water.
