Joan Teresa Nelson

Joan Teresa Nelson passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 77. Joan was born on July 3, 1948, in Pelham, South Carolina to Lola Nelson and Eddie Nelson. She moved to Michigan at a young age and that is where she met her future husband, Bill Ormsbee. Together they had 2 children William Jr and Tonya. They later divorced and she remarried and had 1 son Johnny. They later divorced. She moved to Texas where she met Wayne and they were together 30 years. He passed away 3 years ago. Mom worked hard all her life to take credit of her kids, and she did it with a smile. When the grandkids came along, she spoiled them and loved them so much. Her great grandkids were the joy of her life and she loved them dearly. She had a special relationship with her great grandson Jonathan he was the light of her life, and he will miss her dearly. Mama was my best friend, and life will never be the same. I would like to thank Rocky Mountain Home Health and Hospice for taking care of mom but a special thank you to her CNA Ashley, mom loved her very much and Ashley went above and beyond for mom and our family.
