Joey Matthew Mcclelland

Joey Matthew McClelland went to heaven on March 7th 2024 at the age of 61. Joey was born October 8th 1962 to JoRetta McClelland in Salt Lake City. Joey married the love of his life Michelle Bascom on November 5th 1988 in Salt Lake City. Joey enjoyed camping, hunting, river rafting, cliff jumping, playing horseshoes, back yard bon fires, and softball. But most of all Joey enjoyed his family, he was so proud of his children. Pappa Joe was his favorite name. He loved his grandchildren with all of his heart. Joey was a beautiful soul and his love for his family was truly inspiring. His smile could light up a room and his laugh was contagious. He was survived by his wife Michelle McClelland, children Brittnie (Wayne) Caldwell, Matthew McClelland, grand children Branson Nelson and Aera Caldwell, sister Lynn Larson (Phil Jones) sister Karen Yates, his nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother JoRetta McClelland, grandson Noah Caldwell, sister Francis Larson, and brother in law Greg Yates. Memorial services for Joey will be held Friday March 15, 2024 at 11:00am. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:45am ~ 10:45am all at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment in Vernal Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating directly to the funeral home to help the family with the services.
