John Truitt Wood Jr

John Truitt Wood Jr. passed away on October 24, 2017 at the age of 52 in Nevada. John was born December 16, 1964 in Odessa, Texas to Jean Peters and John T. Wood Sr. John loved hunting, fishing, family barbeques, horses, country music, trucking, and mountain man rendezvous. John was a co-owner of MQJ Farms and Logistics.John is survived by is daughter Sheasha (Ryan) Lawson; three sons: Triston Wood, Dagan Wood, Dalton Wood; stepson Trevor Blackburn; sisters: Rebecca Bowman, Elaine Snyder, Gesila Hargove and Nila Dodson; brother Lee Roy Wood; five grandchildren: Hayden, Anna, Jake, Alisa, and Christopher; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.John is preceded in death by his son Jessie Jean Wood, parents and grandparents.Funeral services will be held Monday October 30, 2017 at 11AM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West). A viewing for friends and family will be held Monday 9:45-10:45AM prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
