Joyce Hutcheon

JoyceHutcheon, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2018 in Vernal, Utah. She was born April 2, 1935 to Floyd ElmerPressnelland MaryEllanKellin Ogden, Utah. She met the love of her life, Arthur MaxHutcheonat a cafe in Carlin, Nevada. On September 10, 1955 they were married in her parents front room. Her father was so excited to finally havea son. They later moved toOrem, Utah where they had two beautiful boys Craig and Alan. They had a cherry orchard and raised Arabian horses. They showed them quite frequently. They moved to Vernal, Utah and have lived here for 35+ years. They celebrated 62 years of marriage without a fight. Joyce was always so determined to finish every task at hand and to help everyone that needed it. She was an exceptional painter and won many ribbons for her work. She loved to sew and could do any art requiring her hands. She loved to garden and loved her past in Boy Scouts work. Joyces smile could light up a room. She never missed a family camping trip or any of her grandkids sporting events - no matter the weather. She bowled for many years and cooked the most delicious food. She is survived by MaxHutcheon(husband), CraigHutcheon(son) and AlanHutcheon(son); grandchildren: CheyenneHutcheon, Cody Hamm, Derrick Jenkins, Heather Kirchner, DaltonHutcheon, AddisonHutcheon, EmreeHutcheon, KynzieHutcheon, and her three great grandchildren Sylas Keel, Xaiden Sadlier, and Dylan Thayne. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2:00 PM at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 6-8:00 PM and Tuesday 12-1:45 PM all at the funeral home.
