Juanita (Lucero) LaRose, age 75 of Vernal, Utah, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, January 28, 2022. Juanita was born on August 16, 1946, in Fort Duchesne, Utah to Clarence and Rose C. Waratza Lucero. Juanita was proud of her years of service with the USDA Rural Development from which she retired. She was also proud to come from a Military and Law Enforcement family. Juanita was a fabulous cook, known for delicious potato salad that no once can replicate. Her home was always immaculate, and there was nothing she could not make with a needle, thread, and some fabric. Juanita was a collector of interesting and unique items, most notably her large collection of interesting and unique items, most notably her large collection of holiday Nut Crackers. She was the family historian and working on the family genealogy brought her much joy and gratification. Family and friends will always know her best for her love of fishing as she went to her secret fishing pond as often as she could. She is survived by her children; Brian (Christie) Tabbee, Lisa (Vinnie) Tabbee, and Karoleen LaRose, brother; Bernard Lucero Sr., sisters; Barbarita Lee, Eileen Wissiup, and Kathleen (Pat) Martinez; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and several close friends. She is preceded in death by her son Paul Tabbee, her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. A private family visitation was held on Monday January 31, 2022 at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home in Vernal. Interment was in Vernal Memorial Park on February 2, 2022.
