Judd Cade Mitchell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Judd Cade Mitchell on Saturday, February 22, 2025. He left this world far too soon at the age of 18. Judd was born on February 1, 2007, in Vernal, Utah, and was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many. Judd found joy working as a ranch hand for Quick Sand, where his strong work ethic and vibrant spirit were evident to all who knew him. His passion for life extended beyond his work; he found joy in mountain biking, exploring the rugged beauty of Utah's landscapes, working tirelessly on his cherished truck, and helping those around him. Judd's infectious laughter and kind heart touched everyone he met. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends, often sharing stories and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Judd is survived by his parents Cade and Susan Mitchell, his sister Cora, and his taller little brother Maxtin. He also leaves behind his cherished grandparents: Saundra Cox and Wayne and Marilyn Gurney. Judd is preceded in death by his grandfather Roger Mitchell and uncles Rory Mitchell and Robert Gurney. Funeral services for Judd will be held Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Uintah Stake Center (4080 South 2500 East Vernal, UT). Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Philips Ashley Valley Funeral Home, and Saturday from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Philips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Judd Cade Mitchell will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
