We witnessed Karen Haslem Cook, our sweet wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister pass through the veil on January 3rd, 2023. Karen was born to Norman R. Haslem and Janna Caryl Openshaw on February 15th, 1964 in Murray, Utah. She attended and graduated from Uintah High School. She later attended Rick's College in Rexburg, Idaho. She married her high school sweetheart David R. Cook in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 2nd, 1983. Together they raised four wonderful children: Rebecca (Michael) Buck, Camille Cook, Lindsay Cook, and Tyler David Cook. She was blessed with two beautiful grandchildren: Caleb Michael Buck and Eli David Buck. She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved working in her garden and flowerbeds. She always was looking at new ways of planting, new things to grow, and tending to the plants. She loved spending time with her family most of all. Karen is survived by her husband, David R. Cook; her mother, Janna O. Haslem; her four children and two grandchildren; her siblings Caryl Ann (Ken) Seastrand, Shari (Alan) Calder, and Bradley Glenn Haslem. She is preceded in death by her father Norman R.
