Karl Migliori

Karl Migliori March 9, 1941 - October 27, 2018 Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Karl Migliori, passed away on October 27, 2018, surrounded by his family in Vernal. He was born March 9, 1941, in Price, Utah, to Virginia Nielsen and Atelee Migliori. As the fifth of thirteen children, he learned to cook from his mother and to work hard at the family gas station with his father. Karl married his sweetheart, Susan Waterman, on September 16, 1960. They raised seven children. He worked hard to support them through entrepreneurial efforts, such as owning the Hey Loft shoe store, and electrical work. He built their family home room by room to create a cozy home that has provided decades of memories. He was active in the Lions Club and Vernal City Council for many years, served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and helped in many community projects around Vernal. He loved his family and friends and his time with them above anything else. He took care of everyone around him and made sure they were well fed with one of his many creative food creations. His story-telling abilities kept everyone entertained, especially of his other passionsfishing, woodworking, hunting, and collecting things. He also loved learning about everything from history, to how things work, to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved eternal companion Sue, six siblings, daughter-in-law Tralynne Ruppe Migliori, and one grandchild. He is survived by his children: Kirk and Leslie (Gibbs) of Eden, Kevin and Janice (Oaks) of Roosevelt, Mark and Vickie (Simper) of Richmond, Daniel and Sherry (Jenkins-Tanner) of Minnesota, Kris and Lisa (Smuin) of Vernal, Mitch and Karen (Burns) of Vernal, and Karri Sue and Ty Basham of Salem; six siblings; twenty-six grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11AM at the Latter-Day Saint Chapel at 1499 West Highway 40 in Vernal. A viewing will be Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home in Vernal. There will be another viewing on Friday from 9:30am to 10:30am at the church.
