Kathryn Ann (Bagley) Van Wagoner

Kathryn Ann (Bagley) Van Wagoner passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 57. Kate was born on January 26, 1967, to Coene (Larson) Bagley and Calvin Dean Bagley in Murray, Utah. Kate grew up in the Uintah Basin going on picnics and hiking in the mountains. As a child, she loved exploring Dinosaur land with her family. Kate married Kyle Young at the age of 19 and they had five children together. Later they divorced. Kate was civilly married to Michael Van Wagoner on March 9, 1996, then later sealed on October 19 in the Bountiful, Utah Temple for time and all eternity. Kate always dreamed of having a big family which she later accomplished with Mike and their 12 children. In 2002, they moved to Utah Valley, raising their family there. She has been a mother and homemaker all her life. She also had a lifelong passion for gardening, cultivating livestock (mostly dogs and goats) and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Kate volunteered as a reader for grade schoolers at a public charter school for four years. She had a passion for books and writing which led to her becoming a published Author. Kate always had a love for music, theater and singing with her daughters. She worked as the house manager at ALA helping the fine arts programs with their shows and enjoyed being able to spend time with the kids at ALA. She loved spending time with her 14 grandchildren and being a part of everyone's lives. She is survived by her Husband, Michael Van Wagoner, their 12 Children, David Young, John Van Wagoner, Korinne Benson, Jay Van Wagoner, Aaron Young, Laura Wood, Jonathon Young, Sarah Van Wagoner, Michael Van Wagoner, Rachel Van Wagoner, Peter Van Wagoner, Elizabeth Van Wagoner and her 14 grandchildren, Roselle Wood, Westen Wood, Saydie Benson, Edwin (Teddy)Benson, Griffin Benson, Ottilie Benson, Vesper Van Wagoner, Capri Van Wagoner, Kaysten Young, Stryker Perrigo, Renley Young, Kyler Young, Rylee Young, Weslee Jensen. She is preceded in death by her father Dean Bagley. Memorial services for Kate will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00am at the Lapoint LDS Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be held that morning from 9:45am ~ 10:45am. Interment in the Lapoint Cemetery. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
