Kathy Jo (Powell) Quinto

Kathy Jo Quinto passed away on June 4, 2024 at the age of 64. Kathy was born on April 1, 1960 to Nita Powell (Slaugh) and Charles Kelly Powell in Vernal, Utah. Kathy married Jose Quinto on November 21, 1980 in the Salt Lake City Utah Temple. Kathy was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a great love for children and enjoyed music, puzzles, reading, murder mysteries, and spending time with her family. Kathy is survived by her husband Jose; their children Jennifer (Eric), Spencer (Malinda), Yvonia (Nathan), Kemish, Vanessa (Brian), and Ruth; as well as sixteen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nita; her father, Charles Kelly; her stepmother Coleen; sisters Diane and Doris Jean; and her niece Brenda. Funeral services for Kathy will be held Monday June 10th at 12:00pm at the Ashley Valley Spanish Ward LDS Chapel (150 South Aggie BLVD). Visitation for family and friends will be held that morning from 10:00am ~ 11:45am all at the church. Interment in the Jensen Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
