Kathy Robbins

Kathy Robbins, age 76, of Vernal, returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on November 8, 2019, with her husband, Dan, by her side. Kathy was born May 27, 1943, to John and Laura Clark in St. George, Utah. They were living with her Uncle Will and Aunt Golda Carter while her father was serving in Germany in WWII. After the war, her family moved to Bonanza, Utah, where she had a carefree childhood, playing with all the Bonanza kids in the hills and going sledding in the winter. She attended Bonanza School during her elementary years. She rode the school bus to Vernal for Junior High years and first year Uintah High School. Kathy married Dan Robbins November 9, 1961, in Tacoma, Washington, where he was serving in the military. They lived in Rangely, CO, and then Vernal, Utah, where they raised their two handsome sons, Rick and Michael. Dan and Kathy were married 58 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Compassionate Service Leader. She worked for many years at Basin Cleaners, Ben Franklin, Christensens, and Wal-Mart, always making friends wherever she worked. Her hobbies were crocheting, reading, cards, word search and embroidery. She loved Salted Nut Rolls and popcorn. She enjoyed her family and friends and was always concerned about them. She was a person who invited everyone into her home and heart. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Kathy appreciated all her family and friends who stopped by to visit her. Also, Canyons Home Health for their attentive nurses the last two months. Kathy is survived by her husband, Dan, of Vernal; sons, Rick (Anne) Robbins, Vernal and Mike Robbins, Fruita, CO.; and grandchildren, Chase, McKay, Taylor Robbins, and Logan Perron; sister, Patricia Clark, and brother, Mitchell (Colleen) Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Laura Clark; brothers, Lowell and Darwin Leavitt; and grandson, David Robbins. A celebration of life will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2:00p.m. at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A visitation will be held Friday from 12:30-1:45p.m. Interment will follow at the Vernal Memorial Park.
