Kayj Shumway

Kayj Warren Shumway was born on November 18, 2011 in Monticello, UT. He returned to live with our Heavenly Father on April 2, 2013 in Vernal, UT. His parents, Tye and Laici Shumway, and two older sisters, Jacelyn and Kinzie will miss him every day, but know he is where he needs to be. He brought so much joy in his short time with us. He was the light of our hearts.

He is preceded in death by two grandfathers - Kent Adams and Steve Burtenshaw. He is survived by his parents Laici and Tye Shumway, sisters Jacelyn and Kinzie, Grandparents Liz Adams, Letha and Morris Stewart, Mark and Sherrie Shumway, and Great-Grandparents Kay and Ila Johnson, along with many, many uncles, aunts, and cousins. We will miss his giggles, his babbling, his hugs, his cute little waddle walk, and eyes that lit up whenever he got excited!

Words can't express our sorrow for the loss of our little angel or our gratitude for both the communities of Blanding and Vernal and support and love they have shown our family.

Funeral Services were held Saturday April 6, 2012 at the Blanding Stake Center at 12Noon in Blanding, Utah. An evening viewing was held at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home in Vernal, Utah Thursday from 6~8p.m. Interment was at the Blanding City Cemetery.
