Kayzlee Love Powell

Rick and Crystal Powell welcomed Kayzlee Love Powell on Friday, May 3, 2019, at 2:24am. She came into this world at 1 pound 8.3 ounces and over the next 132 days she grew into a mighty 8 pounds 9.568 ounces. While she was only with us for a short while, during her life she was such a blessing and a miracle and overcame many health struggles. She was visited every day by her loving family who will cherish each moment they got to spend with her: reading, snuggling, singing, praying, giving her baths, changing her diapers, and giving her a hand to hold to make sure she knew she was not alone. She loved the time she spent with her family, her binky, and her many outfits and bows. She passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, and though she was only here a short time she will forever be in our hearts. We look forward to the day when we can see her again. We are sad and heartbroken to see her go, but know that this is Gods plan and she was so special that he had a need for her in heaven. We also find comfort in knowing that Grandma Yvette and Grandpa Norman will be holding and loving her in heaven. Kayzlee Love is survived by her parents, Rick and Crystal; the best big brothers, Kyler and Kayden; grandparents, Troy (Yvonne) Corless, Linda Johns, and Phyllis Powell; great grandparents, Marketa Cooper and Peggy Hughes; and many other family and friends including her cousins Ayden, Dagen, and Yvette Potts. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11AM at the St. James Catholic Church (138 North 100 West). A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Wednesday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park. Thank you for all the love, prayers, thoughts, and acts of kindness shown throughout this journey.
