Kerry Crofts

Kerry Si Crofts, age 64, of Vernal, Utah passed away on August 23rd, 2025 at the University of Utah hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah of complications from a blood clot.

Kerry was born on September 20th, 1960 in Panguitch, Utah to DeLin and Gwen Evans Crofts. He graduated from Uintah High school, class of 1978. He had some college education but he was more of a hands on, brilliant, mechanically inclined guy. He worked in Wyoming as a helicopter maintenance and service tech. He loved his work and when he wasn't working his favorite place was in his hangar at Dinaland Aviation, in Vernal. He loved hanging out at the airport where he had his "second family." He was building an experimental airplane, a Rans S9 that was nearly complete. Kerry was very adventurous, totally loved motorcycle riding, especially dirt bikes and was happy whenever he could twist a throttle. Kerry was easy going, had so many friends, he always had an attitude of helpfulness and gratitude. Kerry was always willing to lend a hand to anyone on any project, most of the time you didn't even need to ask. Kerry was a beautiful soul and a wonderful human being...he will be missed so much.

Kerry is survived by his father, DeLin J. Crofts and Darren Charlie Crofts, his brother.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gwen and his brother, Kevin.

A celebration of life will be held at Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 N. 800 W. Vernal, Utah on Saturday, September 13th at 11:00 am.

He was cremated and his ashes will be buried near his family in Orderville, Utah at a later date.
