Kyle David Mathiesen, age 28, was born on October 7, 1996, in Roosevelt, Utah, passed away on December 19, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Kyle was a devoted family man, known for his kindness, sense of humor, and zest for life. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, engaging with children, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and camping. His pets, especially Bonesie, held a special place in his heart. He was known for his playful teasing and his genuine desire to help those around him. Kyle had a diverse career, beginning his journey at the Golden Corral, where he made lifelong friends and ultimately met Harlee, the love of his life. They shared a playful courtship before marrying and welcoming their three beautiful children. He also pursued education in diesel mechanics, obtained his CDL, and worked for R&R Oilfield Transportation Inc. in Utah. Most recently, he was a manager at Tree Care Services Inc., he recieved his certifed arborist in the state of Utah where he excelled in trimming trees and leading a crew, with colleagues appreciating his easy-going nature and constant smile. Kyle's infectious spirit and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is also survived by his loving wife, Harlee BreeAnn; cherised children, Kallie, Linkin, Dixie; parents, Jeffrey and Mindy Mathiesen; his brothers, Tyler (Zenaida), Kevin (Haylee); nieces and nephews, Skylee, Kailani, Max, Della, Kanyon, Bronson, Willow, Kenzlee; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Ryan and Shantel Barker; great-grandparents, Jack & Arlene Gardner; Warren Noland; grandparents, Ron Mathiesen, David and Cindy Marshall, Ken and Sharlene Perry, Harold and Jeneal Shelley, and Marilyn and Terry Dalberg, Eddie Olsen; sister-in-laws, Charity Olsen, Kelcie Olsen, Preslie Olsen, Josslynn Barker, Brinlee (David) Baker, Tasha (Ashton) Watkins; and alongside many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Preceding him in death were his son, Bennet Mathiesen; father-in-law, Kelly Olsen; niece, Bella Mathiesen; great-aunt, Deborah Gardner; brother-in-law Rorik Barker, and great-grandmother Eva Shelley Wright, friends Ryan Espinoza and Shane Meinrod; and several beloved family members, including childhood pets Snoop Dog and Marley. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 at the Western Park at 12:00PM. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Saturday 10:45-11:45AM at the Western Park. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
