Lane J. Jackson

Lane J. Jackson passed away on February 24, 2024, at his home in Vernal, Utah at the age of 79. Lane was born on December 12, 1944, in Vernal, Utah, to Glenn and Bernice Jackson. Lane was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to the construction and mining industry. His work ethic and skills were renowned by all who knew him. Lane married Joyce V Workman on April 20, 1962 in Vernal, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in Salt Lake City LDS Temple on March 10, 1965. Lane is preceded in death by his parents Glenn and Bernice Jackson, Parents-in-law Kenneth and Venus Workman, 2 brothers Sherron and Kent, and his sister Marnel. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Jackson, who was his faithful companion for 61 years; son Shad (Laurie) Jackson, daughters: JoLayne (Stan) Fullenwider, Marcia (Virtus) Keddy, Anna Lee (Chris) Brough, Angel (John) Nielson all of Vernal, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Lane's passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11:00AM at the Davis Stake Center 4080 South 2500 East. A visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Thursday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
