Larry Gene Jackson

Larry Gene Jackson age 87, of Syracuse, formerly of Vernal, passed away April 8, 2025, with loved ones by his side. He was born November 6, 1937, in Ogden, Utah to Lawrence and Florence Garner Jackson. He was a graduate from Ogden High School. He married Francine LaRae Porter on June 16, 1956, together they had five children, Kevin (Becky) Jackson, Brad Jackson, Kristie (deceased) Sherilyn, and Sheldon Jackson. He divorced in 1986 and later married the love of his life, Tina Elaine Oliver Oaks. They enjoyed numerous family memories, camping, fishing, and reunions with her six children; Eileen (Gene) Harvey, Linda Cranford (deceased) Charlene (Rusty) McBride, Raymond (deceased) Jaylene Oaks, Gloria (Jim) Allen, Ronald Oaks (deceased) Kim. Their marriage was later sealed in the LDS temple on November 27, 2021. Larry worked for the United States Forest Service and was recognized for his outstanding completion of service for 35 years. Graveside service for Larry will be held April 28th at 11:00am in Maeser Fairview Cemetery, in Vernal, Utah. Services under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Funeral Home.
