Larry Smuin

Larry Deal Smuin returned to his loving Father in Heaven on August 26, 2014 in the Uintah Care Center, Vernal, Utah.

He was born April 14, 1934 in Vernal, Utah to Hyrum Smuin and Idella Slaugh Smuin. He married the love of his life LaDonna Slaugh on October 8, 1952.

He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting, rock hunting, cutting meat and helping others. He served in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as ward clerk, Bishop, High Council member, and many other positions.

He is survived by his loving wife, LaDonna; daughters: Jolene (Bruce) Kendall, LeAnn (Dwayne) Holmes, DeAnn (David) Martin; son, Bryce (Vivian) Smuin; brother, Darris (Billie) Smuin; sisters: Lila (Bert) Greenhow and Nayon (Kermit) Brimhall.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Hyrum and Idella Smuin; brother Wayne Smuin; sisters: Jenis Colthorp, Willma Williamson, Erma Carless, and Enid Mertz; grandkids: Shanna Martin, Chad Kendall, and Justin Holmes.

Services were held Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Uintah Ward chapel at 3990 South 1500 East in Vernal, Utah.
