Lavar Kenneth Daybell

Our sweet loving husband, dad, papa, brother, son and friend, LaVar Daybell, is flying high with his sweet daughter Kelly and loving granddaughter Karley. LaVar left us on September 21, 2020. LaVar was born June 25, 1952 in Heber City, Utah to Kenneth M Daybell and Ruby Clegg Sweat. LaVar was a great dad and enjoyed many hours of hunting and fishing with his kids. Family reunions were his favorite; he enjoyed seeing extended family and reminiscing all the many things everyone had done. Lavar worked in the Park City Mines and at FMC in Wyoming. His favorite job was driving truck, he was able to see many states and places while driving. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He held many church callings. He loved taking the scouts camping and enjoyed the young men. He played football and ran track in high school. He is survived by his wife Dixie; sons Shane (Anita) Daybell and Brandin Daybell; daughter Kilee (Lee) Horrocks; son-in-law Tom Hone; father Kenneth (Shirlene) Daybell; mother Ruby Sweat; brothers Randy (Nancy) Daybell and Marty (Cindy) Daybell; sister Lela (Gordon) Hall; brothers-in-law: Dennis (Peg) McKenzie, Dan (Micky) McKenzie, Deloy (Claudia) McKenzie, and many aunts, uncles and cousins; Grandchildren: Jordan, Jadon, Shyanne, Grayson, Dylan, Dakota, Rebekan, Sage, Trace and Bentlee, and one great granddaughter Taylor. LaVar is preceded in death by his stepfather Delane Sweat, Dan and Jeanine McKenzie, daughter Kelly Hone and his little sweetheart Karley D. Hone. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. A viewing for friends and family will be held Friday 11:00-12:45PM at the mortuary.
