Lee Ellen Atwood Peacefully walked through the gates of heaven on June 13th 2024 at the age of 72. She was greeted there with open arms by her Beloved Husband Shirl Atwood, her Grandson Domanic Cole, some of her best friends, and her wonderful Parents and Siblings. She is free from pain and dances in the glory of heaven's light. Lee Ellen was born In Ogden, Utah, on November 4th, 1951, at 7:53 to Mother Emma Nadine Pierce and Father Francis Edward Stack. She was a devoted wife, talented artist, a nurturing Mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She met the love of her life, Shirl Atwood, on one very lucky blind date. They married on July 24th, 1974 and went on to have one daughter, Shalena Atwood. Lee Ellen enjoyed a simple life full of love and laughter. She frequently spent time in her backyard, relaxing in the shade, watching the birds, or strolling hand in hand with one of her grandchildren, while one of her numerous pets followed close at her tail. She had a few great loves in this life, her family, her friends, her animals, the outdoors and her crochet hook. If Lee Ellen wasn't tending to the children you could find her curled up with her latest craft, a Pepsi, and a good movie. Whether it was crocheting, cross stitching, painting, or just coming up with a crazy new and fun way to get crafty, she was an artist through and through. She found great peace when she was out in nature and she accompanied her husband on many grand outdoor adventures. Now reunited at last with her beloved husband, together they will embark on the greatest adventure of all. "As I walk through the hills and mountains of peacefulness I feel my freedom within nature's sounds. The water is running and the campfire is warm. With the Quakie leaves turning gold, my Spirit and solitude is found." -Lee Ellen Atwood She is survived by her daughter; Shalena, brother; Robert, grandchildren; Nickie, David, Korbin, Raelynn, Chase, and Great-Grandchildren; Kaydence, Ember, Dakota, Evelyn, Braden, Ariana, and Sky.
