Leon Kenneth Roush

Leon K Roush was born to William K Roush and Verlene D Phillips on August 29, 1955 in Craig CO. Leon passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 31, 2024. In Leon's early adulthood he began his career in the oilfield which took him many places including Vernal, Utah. While there he met the love of his life Darla Fay Atwood. They were married in Vernal, UT on May 12, 1978. Together they had three children Autumn, Trinna, and Tyson. Leon was a proud Grandpa who loved his Grandsons and great-grandchildren. In Leon's spare time you could find him gathered around his beloved 1972 dusters on cruise night, or car shows in the summer. Leon was survived by his wife, Darla, and their three children: Autumn Dawn (Todd) Logan Trinna Fay (Jake) Gardner and Tyson Kenneth (Missy) Roush. His Dad, William "Bill" (Georgia) Roush. His siblings: Darin (Kari) Roush, Joyce (Hershel) Scott, Anita (Kurt) Philabaum, Patricia (Mike) Murphy, Cindy (Tadd) Hiner, Sylvia Lynn Atwood, and Clifford Atwood. 8 Grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews, friends, and Dinaland Car Club. He is preceded in death by his mom and stepfather: Verlene D and Leroy Phillips. His mother-in-law and father-in-law: Leola and Ruben Atwood. Nephew, Brandon Nelson Leon's love for his family and always being there when you needed it will be remembered and cherished. Funeral services for Leon will be held at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at 11:00 am. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday September 4, 2024, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Thursday from 9:45 am - 10:45 am. Interment will be in Vernal Memorial Park. The family would invite you to dress casually and bring your favorite story to share.
