Lonnie Joe Deans

It is with great sadness that the family of Lonnie Joe Deans announces the passing of Lonnie. Lonnie lost his battle with cancer at 2:20PM on May 9, 2025. Lonnie was born in Gusher, Utah on May 30, 1945 to Vilda and James W. Deans. Lonnie was always willing to help friends and family and was known for his love of gardening and fishing. Lonnie spent a lifetime woodworking and was a skilled cabinet maker. Lonnie was married several times through his life. Rachel, Noni, and Lanis Deans through marriage gave Lonnie 6 children: Lonnie Deans, Aaron Deans, Cammie Deans, Jeni Deans, Laverle Deans and Melissa Harvey. Lonnie is survived by his children: Lonnie Deans, Aaron Deans, Cammie Deans, Jeni Deans, Laverle Deans and Melissa Harvey; 20 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three step children, two brothers and a sister. Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents: Virda Jane Miller Deans and James Woodrow Deans; three brothers and a sister. Celebration of life for Lonnie will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00pm at Lonnie Deans residence, 1491 South 500 East, in Vernal. Arrangements under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
