Louella Burke

Louella Jackson Burke age 87 of Vernal, Utah was reunited in heaven with her family on January 28, 2015 in Glendive, MT at the Glendive extended care, where she made new friends. She was born on August 2, 1927 to Daniel Levi Jackson and Ellen Sessions. She was the eight of nine children. Louella married the love of her life Robert LeRoy Burke and together they had three beautiful children: Robert LeRoy Jr., Russell Lee and Ginger.

Louella has a passion for cooking. Almost any town she lived in you could find her in a café cooking. Her real love was her family, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were the love of her life.

Louella is survived by her daughter Ginger (Shane) Holmes; grandsons: AJ (Liz) Burk, Chaddy Huffaker, Robert LeRoy Burk III, Tyrell Holmes, Dustin Holmes, and Jared Holmes; granddaughters: Jolee (Zack) Hilkey and Tawna Burk; great grandchildren: Jayden Deon Burk, Ashlynne Huffaker, Colby Huffaker, Taygen Huffaker, Jayden LeRoy Burk, and Emma Burk; and many nieces and nephews. She loved every one of them.

Louella is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, brothers: Bill, Andy, Walkie, Pearl, Barge and Babe Jackson; sisters: Betts Davis and Lenor Holmes.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 2, 2015 at 11 A.M. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West). A visitation was held from 9:45~10:45 A.M. prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
