Malissa Darlene Holmes

Malissa Darlene Holmes passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 60. Malissa was born on November 13, 1961 to Darlene and Glade Holmes in Vernal, Utah. Malissa enjoyed doing yard work with her mom, reading, knitting and sewing. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She loved watching them play hockey, soccer, football, compete in stock shows and rodeos. Her grandkids were the light of her life. Malissa is survived by her children DJ (Karen) Morrell, McKenzie (Eric) Siersma, Sage (McKenzie) McNeill; mother Darlene Holmes, brother David Holmes, sister Christine Holmes, brother Steven Holmes, 12 grandchildren, 6 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Glade Holmes, grandparents and great-grandparents. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 11AM at the Maeser Stake Center (2745 West 1000 North). A viewing for family and friends will be held Monday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Tuesday 9:45-10:45AM at the Church. Interment will be in the Rockpoint Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
