Margaret Alice Pilcher

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Margaret Alice Pilcher, who left this world in her sleep on October 8, 2024, while in the loving care of the Uintah Care Center. Margaret was born on May 27, 1948, in Arcadia, Oklahoma, to her parents, Wanda and Buster Dobbs. She grew up in Jones, Oklahoma, as one of eight children, with two brothers and five sisters. Margaret attended Jones High School and, after graduation, ventured to Rangeley, Colorado, where she worked as a housekeeper for Maxine Pilcher. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Mike Pilcher. The two married in the early 1968 and shortly thereafter moved to Vernal, Utah, where they built a beautiful life together and raised three sons. Margaret was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved volunteering as a "Pink Lady" at the local hospital and had a passion for decorating her home with an eye for beauty and detail. She had a fondness for collecting knick-knacks, beautiful dolls, and Beanie Babies filling her home with warmth and memories. Some of Margaret's other interests included mind blowing hard to solve crossword puzzles and her love for socializing and being a part of the local bowling team. Later in live Margaret looked forward to phone calls and enjoying her Diet Dr Pepper along with the pairing of miniatures chocolates. Above all, Margaret adored her family, especially her nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, with whom she cherished every moment spent. Margaret is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mike Pilcher; her parents, Wanda and Buster Dobbs; her brother, Ronnie Weather; and her sister, Betty Dobbs Haynes. Her love, spirit, and presence will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. The family is grateful that she is at peace and in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. Graveside services will be held at the Rangely Cemetery in Rangely, Colorado on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 1:00P.M. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday morning from 10:00-11:00AM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West).
