Maria Susan (Arcilla) De Los Santos

Maria Susan (Arcilla) De Los Santos, a beloved daughter, grandmother, mother, and sister, completed her remarkable life journey on August 23rd, 2022, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Maria was born to Socorro Tejada Arcilla and Pedro Bautista Arcilla on January 2nd 1960 in Virac 'Catanduanes, Philippines. She was the oldest of 11 children. Always a beacon of strength, Maria fought every day to support her family. She supported her loving husband, Pedro Tanjer De Los Santos, when he was forced away, in order to financially support their family, by raising their 4 children on her own. Her love for her family gave her the strength to overcome any obstacle. Maria was a shining star of a mother and instilled into her children the same love and dedication she showed them every day. Her commitment to her family had no limits. In order to give her children their best possible future, she would even sacrifice her home and everyone she knew in order to move to the United States. Maria is preceded by her brothers: Pedro "Ompong," and Roy Arcilla, and stepson: Jonathan. She is survived by her brothers and sister's: Pablo "Apang," Jose "Boyet," Benjamin, Cesar, and Armando Arcilla, Lourdes Tabo, Jocelyn Tejada and Edna Legaspi, her husband Pedro, her 4 children and their spouses: Jason(Vanessa), Janrick(Bryce), Jennilyn(Nicholas), and Javid(Sierra), and her 8 grandchildren: Nash, Luna, Aleya, Aria, Luca, Jace, Odin, and Ernesto. Funeral services Maria will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00AM at the Glines 4th Ward Chapel (78 South Aggie Blvd). A viewing for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6-8PM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment will take place in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
