Marilyn Schofield Allen Williams

Marilyn Schofield Allen Williams, former wife of Howard Allen, passed away on August 3, 2016 at the age of 79 in Maeser, Utah. She was born October 5, 1936 in Manila, Utah to Rodney and Lula Marion Atwood Schofield. She married Howard Ray Allen on June 20, 1954 in Manila, Utah at the Schofield residence. They had three boys David, Douglas, and Duane and lived in Maeser, Utah. They later divorced. Marilyn was very active in sports in her younger years. She enjoyed softball, volleyball, and bowled throughout her life. She also was known to make the best cinnamon rolls and worked in the food industry for many years in different capacities. She loved flowers and worked in a nursery for several years. Marilyn loved wildlife and loved to hunt and fish. Marilyn loved playing cards and doing puzzles. She was very passionate about old time country music. She had a eye for fine jewelry and loved to show it off. In her later years, she sold antiques and was quite proud to show off her good finds. Marilyn is survived by her sons: David(Ann) Allen, Wheatland, Wyoming; Duane (Jody) Allen, Lapoint, Utah; first husband: Howard Allen, Lapoint, Utah; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters: Deanna (Paul) Hayes, Duchesne, Utah; Sherron (Brian) Harder, Craig, Colorado; Carolyn George, Montrose, Colorado. She was preceded in death by parents: Rodney Lula Schofield; sister: Kay Bullock; and son: Douglas Rodney Allen. Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Friends may call Monday, August 15, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Rock Point Cemetery. The family would like to thank Beehive Homes of Maeser for the loving care they provided for Marilyn during the time that she lived in their home.
