She is preceded in death by her father, Roland Williams, her mother Hilda, sisters Donna Collett and Jolene Freemeyer, her brothers Dale, Robert and Larry Williams and grandson, Jaise Batty. Marita loved and was very devoted to her husband Garth- whom she referred to as "her sweetheart". Her love also extended to her children, 22 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren. Marita was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was very active in the church and held many leadership callings including Stake and Ward Relief Society President and Primary President. She and Garth served two missions for the Church. The first was a family history mission in Salt Lake City. The second was a Canada Vancouver Mission in Richmond, British Columbia where they were part of the mission staff. Additionally, she served for nine years at the Vernal Temple. Marita was a positive influence on all of those around her. Her love and concern was not only for her family but extended to all with whom she encountered. Her experiences growing up during the depression and in a single parent household (after the death of her father when she was 11 years old) taught her that hard work and community were the core necessities for survival. Her values around building strong relationships and a solid work ethic stayed with her throughout her life. Marita was a good hearted and kind women and was loved by many whose lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. As a family, we want to express our appreciation to the many caring and compassionate people in Home Health and Hospice. Heartfelt gratitude also to her personal home care attendants: Dora, Lulu, Dee, Violeta, Kim, Donetta, Wendy, Mindy and Gina. All of these competent and kind health care providers made it possible for our mother to stay in her home until her passing, which was her deeply felt wish.
