Marjorie Gagon

Marjorie S. Gagon, was born on January 15, 1926 to Alice Sutherland and Karl W. Scherer in Provo, Utah. Marge married the love of her life, Ira David Gagon on March 14, 1949. Together they had three children, David Ira, James Karl, and Teresa.

Marge was very active in the community. She was a member of the Christian Science Church, active in P.E.O, Current Topics, Bridge Club, Esther Club, Eastern Star (50 Year member), and Bible Study. Marge was instrumental in getting the Christmas lights up on Main Street and in the Dinosaur Gardens.

Marge enjoyed hostessing, entertaining, cooking, dancing, music, and picnics.

Marge is survived by her children: David Ira (Lynne) Gagon, Vernal, UT, James Karl (Lee) Gagon, Vernal, UT and Teresa (Steve) Wilson, Republic, Washington); nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; her sister Norma (Bob) Rampton, Nipomo, CA.

Marge is preceded in death by her husband Ira David Gagon; her parents Karl and Alice Scherer; and her brothers Paul and Fred Scherer.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 3, 2014 at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home, 410 North 800 West in Vernal, at 11A.M. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6~8P.M. and one hour prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Ashley Valley Funeral Home.

She touched her many friends and family with her ability to offer comfort, guidance, compassion and friendship ~ always with a smile.
