FUNERAL LIVESTREAM LINK: https://vimeo.com/522499789 Marvin Charles (Chuck) Cunningham passed away on March 9th in Roosevelt Utah after a short illness. He was born August 6th 1933 to Harwood L. Cunningham and Avilda Williams Cunningham in Bisbee AZ. He and his siblings grew up in Bisbee, a place he loved. He always talked and shared stories of his childhood. He lived with his grandparents Ira and Eddie Lee Cunningham most of his life. He loved them dearly. Chuck served three years in the US Navy. He served in a helicopter squadron stationed at San Diego. He flew patrols up and down the Southern California coast during the Korean War looking for enemy submarines. After being discharged, he married Lois Bennett in Lawndale CA.1955. They have two sons Gary and Mark. He and Lois moved to Vernal, Utah in 1993. In January of 2000, Lois passed away, and Chuck married Coleen Collett Hancock in May of 2000. They have a total of 24 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren between their marriages. Chuck has worked as an electrician most of his life and retired as a Building Inspector with Vernal City in 1998. One of his favorite projects was inspecting the Vernal Temple. Chuck was a faithful convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings from scout leader to Bishop. He worked in Vernal Temple. Together he and Coleen served an LDS Mission to Kentucky in 2001 to 2003. He loved the Lord and you could see it in his works. His woodshop was opened to anyone and everyone who needed it. Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Lois, sons Gary and Mark, daughter in law Lois, parents, brother Billy, sister Charlene, stepsons Michael, Scott and Kirk Hancock. He is survived by his wife Coleen C. Hancock Cunningham, brother Jackie (Paula) Cunningham, sister in law Sharon (Billy) Cunningham, stepdaughters Colette H. (Mark) Kremin and Patti (Ron) Russo, stepson Lance (Becky) Hancock, grandchildren Jessica (Jonathan) Oacha, Lori (Rob) Rodrigo, Ryan (Candice) Cunningham, Haley (Rick) Bloss, Max Cunningham, Katrina (Robert) Nevin, Nicole (Kody) Young and many great grandchildren. Services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:00p.m. at the Glines Stake Center on Aggie Blvd. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8pm and Saturday 11:30am-12:30pm both at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with military honors provided by the American Legion Post 11. Compassionate Service by Glines 6th Ward.
