Mary Jane (Martindale) Partridge

Mary Jane (Martindale) Partridge, age 90, returned to her heavenly home and to the arms of her beloved Garth Partridge on the evening of November 1st, 2024. Mary Jane passed peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones. Mary Jane was born December 14, 1933 in Springville, Utah. After graduating from Springville High School in 1952, she eventually found herself living in Provo, Utah working at the local bank as a bookkeeper. This is when she met her forever love Garth. They were married on May 28th, 1959, and later sealed as eternal companions in the Salt Lake City Temple on November 11, 1969. Mary Jane was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family, second was her faith in her Heavenly Father. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and fulfilled multiple callings in their youth programs, as well as, volunteered in ward choirs. Mary Jane and Garth moved with their four children often as they followed Garth's work in the oil industry. They explored the Western United States (sometimes moving every three months) before journeying overseas to the coast of Scotland, and eventually made their home in Vernal, Utah. Mary Jane was an incredible home maker, raising her four children Brent (Nadine), Mark (Alece), Lisa (Mike), and Kathleen (Robert). Her children and grandchildren remember her many years tending to the garden, canning, selling squash, and wrangling an array of farm animals. Mary Jane also spent many hours tying quilts for church donations and for her grandchildren. Mary Jane was cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately call her Grandma, Granny, and even Cookie-Granny. She is celebrated in life by twenty-five grandchildren, Gareth (Heather), Travis (Shandi), BJ (Marty), Caitlyn Partridge; Kyle Partridge, Charles Jason (Marissa) Partridge, Amberlee (Cassidy) Farnsworth; Melissa (Josh) Chambers, Katie (Chris) Sand, Jesse (Cameron) Slaugh; Devin (Dominick), Dalin (Baylee), Parker (Sophia), Rylee Jane Workman; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren, Jasper, Trekstin (Madi), Brakitguin, Satiya Partridge; Kamorah, Evaella, Illyria Partridge; Wyatt, Morgunn, Virgil Partridge; Bryston, Remington Partridge; Quay, Paytyn, Breah May Partridge; Rhenlee, Haelyn, Cooper Farnsworth; Gabriel, Shiloh Chambers; Christian James, Peyton Sand; Emma, Addilynn, Hadleigh Slaugh; Maverick Workman; and soon to be Baby Workman #2. Funeral Services will be held on Friday November 22nd, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Vernal 7th ward Chapel, 850 West 100 North. Family and friends may call on Thursday November 21st at Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home 6-8pm, and one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Mary Jane will be laid to rest with her forever love, Garth, at Maeser-Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
