Mavis Wilson

May 20, 1931 — September 18, 2019

Mavis Marnie Wilson returned to the arms of her loving husband Larry Martin Wilson on September 18, 2019. Mavis was born to Mirl Fredrick Jennings and Eva Katherine Jensen Jennings on May 20, 1931. Mavis was raised on a farm in Bridgeland, Utah with her 7 siblings. She was married at a young age and had 3 children that she raised alone. Mavis married the love of her life on March 20, 1992 in Vernal, Utah. Soon after they moved to the Davis county area where she resided until Larry passed away. Mom was a creative person that tried to find humor in all things. She worked hard all her life to provide for her family and demonstrate dedication and hard work. Some of her many hobbies included sewing, painting, canning, shopping for a good bargain and being with her grandchildren, but she had a deep passion and love for dancing which she taught to most of her granddaughters. We are sure that she has her dancing shoes on and is dancing away in Heaven. Mavis is survived by her children: Jan, Becky, Wade, Larry Jr., Madge and Blane; 25 grandchildren and 50 great grandchildren, and her sister Leilia Kohler. She is preceded in death by her husband Larry, son-in-law Dale Gowen, grandson Russell Gowen, a great grandson, her parents and siblings. Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:15am at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 10-11am at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.Visitation Sat, Sep 21, 2019 at 10:00 am - 11:00 amGlines 4th Ward Chapel
