Michael David Simko

Michael David Simko returned home to a loving Heavenly Father June 6th 2020 at the age of 64. Mike was born to Joseph Robert Simko and Anna Kerekes Simko on December 28, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio. Mike spent 12 years in service to the United States Air Force where he spent his time stationed in New Mexico, Florida, Seoul Korea, Alaska and Arizona. He was a proud veteran who loved his country and fellow human beings and would often drop anything to help anyone where he knew them well or not. After his service he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic, welder, machine operator and plating operator until moving to Vernal in 2018 to be closer to family. During his short time here he was hired on at River Runners where he was able to work with his niece Debbie and his great nephew Joey Clawson. Mike is survived by his two sisters Irene and Maryann and his brother Edward including eight nieces, 5 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at 9:00a.m. at the Rockpoint Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 11 and the Utah Patriot Rider Guard.
