Millie was born July 11, 1930 in Ada, Oklahoma to Scott and Annie Wilson and moved to Pampa in 1953. She was a waitress at Johnson's Café for 3 years before meeting and marrying James W. Clay on February 9, 1954 at Hobbs, New Mexico. He passed away in 1997.
After their marriage, Mildred was a homemaker to James and his four children. On November 21, 1998, Millie married Ed Henley in Pampa. He passed away October 13, 2015.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and gardening. Mildred worked in the benevolence ministry at Central Baptist Church where she had been a member since 1998.
Millie was preceded in death by two sons, James Freeman Clay in 1996 and William Richard "Dic" Henley in 2000; two daughters, Mary Chivers in 2024 and Phyllis Brooking in 2020; and two grandsons, Larry Dale Estes in 1975 and Matthew Todd Searle in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Estes and husband Harold of Pampa and Johnnie Searle and husband Todd of Vernal, Utah; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Millie will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Central Baptist
Church with Rev. James Greer, pastor at Central Baptist Church, and Rev.
Rick Parnell, retired Baptist pastor, officiating. Arrangements in Texas are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Graveside Service for Millie will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12:00pm in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Jim Still, pastor at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, officiating, under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
