Myrna Ann Kay Cobbs passed away on February 10, 2022 at the age of 82. Myrna was born on October 4, 1939 to Virginia Cooper Kay and Alvin Charles Kay in Vernal, Utah. Myrna married Carl E. Cobbs on November 20, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She loved golfing, knitting, quilting, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. Myrna worked as treasurer for Caly Enterprises from 1978 to retirement. She enjoyed being a Brownie and Cub Scout leader. She was a member of Vernal Jaycee Ladies where she served as secretary and treasurer. She was involved with Vernal Ladies of Elks and served as the vice president, state representative and other positions; Current Topics Club, serving in all capacities, co-chaired the Current Topics Rummage Sale, and held all offices of Vernal Ladies Golf Association. She volunteered with youth golf and Elks kids golf shoot out. She co-chaired Uintah High School Class of 1957 Reunion. She was a very active member of the Vernal Dino-Mites, she volunteered many hours to improving and upkeep Camp Wapiti in Tooele, Utah. Myrna received many awards. In 2009, Myrna and Carl received the "Extraordinary Community Volunteers" by Utah Governor and Utah Leagues of Cities and Towns. Myrna was chosen as Business and Professional Woman of The Year in 2013. She was an exemplary model for business and professional women's clubs. Myrna was also selected along with Carl to be Grand Marshall of the 2016 Holly Days Parade of Lights. She was an amazing friend, wife, mother, grandmother, and businesswoman. Myrna is survived by her husband Carl Cobbs; sons Kenneth (Kathleen) Cobbs and Gregory (Kristina) Cobbs; grandchildren: Mitchel (Johnnie) Lube, Cody (Tracie) Cobbs, Garret (Jennifer) Cobbs, Cheyanne (Joshua) Cobbs; great-grandchildren: Lacey, Hayden, Hexley, Levi, Ethan, and Gavin; siblings: Charleen Self, Kenneth (Martha) Kay, and Jerri (Edward) Callantine; sister-in-law Joy Kay; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Lawrence Kay, Rice John (Butch) Kay, and sister-in-law Billie Kay. Many thanks to the friends and family who helped with visits and meals. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00am at the Naples 1st Ward LDS Chapel (2313 South 1500 East). A viewing for family and friends will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home and Wednesday 9:45-10:45am at the Church. Interment will be held in the Vernal Memorial Park.
