Paula Gabriel

Paula Gabriel, age 79 of Vernal, Utah, formerly of Kokomo, Indiana passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 30, 2024 at the Unitah Care Center in Vernal, Utah. Paula was born on July 6, 1945 to Alice (Walker) Gabriel and Felix Edward Gabriel in Kokomo, Indiana. Paula attended school and Kokomo, and spend the majority of her life there. She loved being a chef, and also a horse trainer. She met her good friend Sondra Waller working together at the hotel. They became inseparable doing many adventures, game nights and going out to eat together. When Sonda decided to move back to Vernal, Paula decided to follow after her mom passed away in 2008. Their friendship grew closer and they were more like sisters, being there for each other. Paula is survived by her dear friend Sondra Waller of Vernal, and a brother in Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Alice Gabriel, her grandparents, Morgan Ross Gabriel, Rosemary "Rose" (Stolarskie) Gabriel, Robert Walker and Hannah (Cox) Walker. Paula is a dear friend, daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be missed dearly by those who loved her. Until we meet again Paula. A private celebration of life will be held in Paula's honor by her dear friend Sondra. Arrangements under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
