Philip Biesinger

Philip (Phil) Biesinger of Vernal UT passed away October 31st, 2012 at his residence at age 73. Phil was born on July 9th, 1939 in Salt Lake City UT to Herbert W. & Margaret Taylor Biesinger. Phil grew up in the Salt Lake area with his nine siblings, H. Taylor & Pauline Biesinger, Donna McKay, Wm. Val Biesinger, Gayle & Jay Fawson, Ralph A. & Anna Biesinger, Alma J Biesinger, Margaret & John Killam, Clyde L. & Susan Biesinger.

Phil was married to Jeanie Wallace (divorced), Janet Hardman (divorced) and Hazel Chivers. Phil's children included Sherri Hoffman, Curtis Machado, Tona & Jack Beebe, Michelle & Dan Dalley, Burt & Robin Biesinger, Don & Jenn Biesinger and another daughter. These children provided Phil with sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

An important part of Phil's extended family includes the Chivers family of which he felt closely connected, Loraine & JT Lewellen, Rita Kimball, Wanema Butcher, Faye Dudley and Duane (Pink) & Mary Chivers.

Phil was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Thomas, mother-in-law Pearl Chivers, sister-in-laws Charlie Biesinger, Dora Cameron, and brother-in-laws Gunn McKay, Larry Dudley, Dean Butcher, and Ben Kimball.

Phil was an accomplished Master Carpenter that used his skills to help anyone and everyone with his talents. A true sportsman, Phil loved camping, hunting, tinkering with guns and reloading. Phil enjoyed off-road racing and was the Vice President of the Intermountain Off-Road Racing Association. Phil moved to Vernal in 2001 working on the Uintah Care Center expansion, later becoming the Building Maintenance Supervisor until his death. Phil's inspirations included John Wayne and Louis L'Amour.

Services were held Saturday, November 3rd 2012 at Western Park, Vernal UT with interment at Vernal Memorial Park.
