July 31, 1972 — May 11, 2025

Vernal

Phillip Glade Ruppe, born July 31, 1972, passed away on Mother's Day, May 11, 2025 in Provo, Utah surrounded by his family. He was the third son born to Clyde and Alice, of their ten children. His birthday was decided by his grandma Reva Ruppe, because she was one of the nurses and he arrived right at midnight. As a little boy he drove hundreds of miles with his brothers and their metal Tonka trucks. Phil loved growing up on the family farm, working and riding horses, especially his favorite horse, Bill. Phil enjoyed playing soccer and later football in high school. He didn't end up graduating high school, opting instead for the life school of hard knocks. He really loved working on anything with a motor: motorcycles, snowmobiles, cars, trucks, and odysseys. There was nothing like a night at the demolition derby as pit crew with his brothers and friends. Some of Phil's first jobs were cutting firewood, farm work and laying carpet, which he continued to do throughout his life. After trying full time farming, Phil started what would be his lifetime profession of truck driving at such places like Ouray Construction, RV trucking, Quick Sand, and most recently Price Energy Phil loved to hunt, be on Blue Mountain, and just have fun. As nephews and nieces came along, and later great nephews and nieces - to that Phil enjoyed the most! Sugaring them up, making them squeal and supporting all their activities. He gave with his whole heart and never forgot a birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Norman, nephews Alex, and Tyler Norman, and great nephew Colton. Phil is survived by his family, brothers: Glen (Vici), Christopher, Andrew, Michael (KC), sisters: Alicia Wilkins, Angela (Taylon) Slaugh, Alayna, and Adrianna (Eric) Fuchs; nephews and nieces: Jacob, Jenny, Kamil, Alesha, Hunter, Tristen, Jordan, Jada, Easton, Weston, Addylinn, Thaxton, Daxton, Wesley and Amelia; great nephews and nieces: Norman, Gracie, McKenna, Waylyn, Zander, Cohen, Oaklen and Harlyn. Graveside services for Phillip will be held Friday at 11:00am in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
