Ray Thamos Hardinger

Ray Thamos Hardinger, passed away on August 21, 2023, at the age of 88. He was born on May 15, 1935, in Roosevelt, UT, to Harry and Golda Hardinger. Ray lived a life filled with hard work and adventure. He dedicated many years as a welder in the oil and gas industry. With his strong hands and skilled craftsmanship, Ray built a reputation as a reliable and dedicated worker. Whether it was in the mines, on the rigs, or in the welding shop, Ray always gave his all. Outside of work, Ray had a passion for old cars, stock car racing, and rock hunting. He could often be found tinkering with engines, taking rides down the race track, or searching for hidden treasures in the earth. Ray's adventurous spirit and love for the thrill of the race will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him. Ray is survived by his beloved wife, Lela Hardinger, who stood by his side through thick and thin. She provided unwavering love and support throughout their many years together. Ray is preceded in death by his father, Harry Hardinger, and mother, Golda Hardinger. Their guidance and wisdom shaped him into the man he became. Ray Thamos Hardinger will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and adventurous spirit will forever be cherished. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in our hearts. Graveside services for Ray Hardinger will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the Vernal Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday 10:45-11:45AM at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
