Richard Islas

Richard Islas passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 73. He was born on June 13, 1950, to Amelia Saldana and Pedro Islas in San Bernadino, California. He married Paula Mansfield on November 24, 1979, in Barstow, California. Richard enjoyed music, dancing, gardening, holidays (especially Christmas), and family celebrations. He was beloved by all children and was a child at heart. He is survived by: his wife, Paula; his children, Richard (Rita) Islas, Leo (Crystal) Islas, Sarah Islas (Keith Meeks); his beloved stepchildren, Daniel (Charlotte) Weaver, and Jessica (Brian) Blevins, eighteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life for Richard will be held Saturday October 14, 2023 at the First Baptist Church (1320 Barstow Rd, Barstow, California) in Barstow, California. Arrangements under the direction of the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
