Robert (Bob) Francis Trujillo passed away on June 28, 2025 at the age of 73. Bob was born on June 6, 1952 to Donna Beth Eaton and Joseph Higinio Trujillo in Vernal, Uintah, Utah. He lived with his grandparents from the age of 16 and loved to help his grandfather haul water to fill people's water cisterns. Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bob married Rebecca D (Becky) Burns on September 6, 1975 in Vernal Utah.
Bob worked for Utah Gas Service for most of his working career, then for Questar when they bought out Utah Gas. He loved working for the gas company and all the people he got to help while working there. He enjoyed visiting with everyone he met and talking about whatever they wanted to visit about. After he retired from the gas company he worked for B&B construction and then part time for the River Runners. He finally retired in 2019.
Bob loved to go camping, fishing and hunting. When he was younger he liked to hunt for arrowheads and other interesting items that he might find anywhere that he went. He had quite a collection of what we like to refer to as his knick knacks. He also had a collection of remote control vehicles and airplanes, which he loved to drive and fly. Bob liked to carve wood and was a really good carver of miniatures as well as kachina dolls. In his younger days he and his best friend Burt liked to drag main and he enjoyed drag racing. Bob loved all kinds of moving vehicles. In the winter he liked to go snowmobiling and in the summer boating. He loved to take his motorcycle and go on trips with his wife and friends. He owned a corvette and loved taking it to car shows. When the grandkids came along he loved to take them for rides in it and let them help him drive. One time at a family reunion held in Vernal he found out that an aunt had never ridden in a sports car so he took her dragging main in the corvette. She loved every minute of it and so did Bob. He loved to dabble in all kinds of new things. He always gave his grandkids peppermint candies which they love to this day.
He is survived by his wife Becky, son TJay (Renae), 3 grandchildren, Brianna, Skyler, and Mackenzie of Richfield UT; brother Randy (Deborah) Trujillo of Colorado; his cousin Vance Eaton of Vernal; and his best friend Burt (Lorna) Ussery of Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph, Donna, and stepfather Lenord; his brothers Stanley and Jerry Steele; and his in-laws Clyde and Sherry Burns.
Graveside services for Bob will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday evening from 6:00pm ~ 8:00pm at the Phillips Ashley Valley Funeral Home.
