Rockland Shaw

Rockland Alfred Shaw, age 85 of Vernal, passed away on October 19, 2012 at the Ashley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Rocky was born September 10, 1927 in Flemming, Colorado to Dan and May Shaw.

Rocky married Arlene Coon Steinfeldt on December 7, 1973.

Rocky enjoyed wrestling, yard work, and an all around handy man. He was loved by many, including his family, co workers, friends, and neighbors. You could always depend on his smile and a joke.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Arlene; his children, Harry (Kathy) Cjeslak, Thad Steinfeldt, Bobbi Trunnell, Doug (Jodi) Steinfeidt, Bart (Kandra) Steinfeidt, Dee (Cori) Steinfeldt; and 23 grandchildren: Eric (Shilo) Cieslak, Lori (Ned) Stearns, Jennifer (Vern) Maloy, Camylle and Jake, Christy (John) Russell, Lisa (Matt) Hooper, Joe Steinfeldt, Nicole Harris, Jake Steinfeldt, Melanie (Zach) Connelly, Kurt Steinfeldt, Brittany Steinfeldt, Porter Steinfeldt, Elizabeth Steinfeldt, Anthony Steinfeldt, and Samantha Steinfeldt; and 21 great grandchildren: Brigham, Isaac, Berkeley, Ename, Bo, Ty, Luke, Kaid, Spencer, Rachel, Anna, Heber, Whitney, Megan, Chloe, Ruby, Quinn, Esther, Eldon, Braxton, and Brynli.

He is preceded in death by his parents, eight sisters and brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Ashley Valley Funeral Home (410 North 800 West). Military honors provided by the American Legion and the Utah National Guard.
